New OpenSRS ‘Sub-resellers’ feature Date: 7/30/2009 12:44 PM
On August 6th, 2009, we'll (OpenSRS) be adding a significant new feature to the
OpenSRS platform - Sub-resellers support.Sub-resellers allows you to set up your own network of domain
resellers, using the proven back-end infrastructure provided by
OpenSRS.=== WHITE-LABEL SUB-RESELLING ===
As you would expect coming from OpenSRS, Sub-resellers is a white-label
program. DD&H can brand the web-based control panel with your logo (and
custom URL) and keep our involvement under wraps, or you can let your
sub-resellers in on the secret and leverage the OpenSRS brand for your
reseller program.OpenSRS Sub-resellers is powerful, and flexible - there are multiple
different ways to handle things like account funding, and commissions.
You can have as many different pricing plans as you wish, and control
over pricing extends through each TLD you decide to allow your
sub-resellers to sell. You can choose to allow your sub-resellers to provision and maintain
their own domain store using OpenSRS Storefront, give them full API
access, or allow them to piggyback on your API access. It's all up to
you to decide how to implement your sub-reseller program.=== ENHANCED CONTROL PANEL ===
As part of the sub-resellers launch, we're also rolling out a minor
refresh to the RWI with an improved home page design. Sub-resellers
will be automatically provided with this new control panel when they
log into their RWI. Current resellers can switch to the new control
panel layout in the RWI as well. We're also busy working on a full
redesign of the RWI and other OpenSRS interfaces - this is just a small
part of that overall project.NOTE: It is DD&H's intention to auto-provide this to all our authorized resellers.
